I found out about Pedro through the Opus Dei website. I got to know him better when I read the book about his life. I want to write up a favour in my professional life that Pedro has done for me.
I have been working full time in a small company for 14 years. When the pandemic hit in March 2020, I first spent a whole eighteen months on the ERTE furlough scheme. Then, as the company suffered the financial consequences of the pandemic, they reduced my work to 25 hours a week. I was in this situation for a year and a half. I needed to work more hours because the salary I was getting was not enough to cover my expenses. I was doing other jobs, but without a contract, which also caused me a lot of stress.
In January I couldn't take it any more and I decided to ask Pedro to encourage my boss to increase my hours to full time. I made a novena and then I prayed several prayer cards every day for this intention. I had a conversation with my boss and today he announced that from tomorrow I will be back to full time.
In principle this summer in August I will go to Manchester, which I am really looking forward to, as I will be able to go to Pedro’s grave and thank him.
