I was born with a condition in both knees, which is why I have been operated on 8 times throughout my life.
On 20 December 2022 I had an appointment with the orthopaedic surgeon to decide whether I would be operated on for the 9th time. I was very nervous, as there was a 90% probability that I was going to be operated on.
My mother did not lose hope that I would not be operated and prayed to Our Lady. My Director was sure that I would not be operated on and prayed to St Josemaría Escrivá. My friends prayed to different saints. And I asked Jesus to accept His will regardless of the answer, because every time I am operated on, the recovery period is tedious and long.
The day came and the answer was: No operation, but an injection in both knees to have a normal life as far as possible. The joy was marred by anguish because these came as a cost of US $1340, which I clearly did not have and the insurance had rejected my request.
My anguish increased with the fact that the medicine that my orthopaedist wants to give me is not available in Honduras and I was to return to my country on Thursday, 12 January 2023. The injections were due to take place on Tuesday, 10 January and the insurance company had not responded to my request to reconsider their decision by Friday, 6 January.
I did not know what to do. I asked several people doing a course with me to please pray.
It occurred to me to pray to Pedro since we saw his biography and they sent me his prayercard: I prayed to him on the Friday morning and in the evening, I said "Pedro, please help me to get a favourable response from the insurance company.  On Saturday morning I wrote to the insurance broker and went to attend Mass.
The electricity supply was out all morning, and I had no internet signal. At the end of the lecture I was attending, I received a WhatsApp message: They would approve my application if I submitted the bills separately.
I know that Pedro helped me. I know he is in heaven and that since it was a health issue he responded very quickly. Thank you, Pedro!
I will keep praying to him until I get a full refund, I know he will help me.
