Our flight from London Gatwick was delayed by 50 mins (sitting in the plane queuing to approach the runway) so we landed at 13:55 instead of 13:15. I had booked the bus to Galway at 14:15 (one hour after landing), but I saw that hour reduced to just 20 minutes! So I asked Pedro to help me get to my bus in record time.
First I had to rush out of the aeroplane before the crowd built up because I was sitting right in the middle! For some reason hardly anyone stood up when the doors opened, so I moved swiftly towards the door without being impeded. I ran through the terminal and got to Passport Control expecting long queues, but surprisingly there was no one there: not one!
Then I arrived at the luggage delivery hall hoping that my case would come out soon. For 10 mins nothing happened, so at 2:10 I told Pedro: "Please start this belt moving now, and make sure my case is one of the first to come out." And so it did!!!! My case came out 1 minute later (third out of the belt), and then I belted to the Galway bus outside the terminal.
I arrived at 2:16 just as the door of the bus was closing!!!! The bus driver could not believe I was sitting inside the plane just 20 mins earlier.
