Last 14th September I travelled by plane from Kaunas (Lithuania) to Madrid. When passing my things to be checked (backpack, jacket, etc.) I took off my glasses, my belt and my watch (because of my experience that these things set off the metal detector). However, after the scanner, when I collected my things from the trays, I don't know why but I didn't see my watch and didn't miss it either...
Only later, when I wanted to check the time on board the plane, I realised that I didn't have it. And it was then that I realised that I hadn't lost it or dropped it (which has happened to me on occasion), but that I had inadvertently left it in the security tray.
It must be said that while the watch is more than 25 years old, it is of gold, of a good brand and in good condition (i.e. a possible temptation for whoever finds it...).
I sent a quick message to a friend to call the lost and found section of the airport. When I got to Madrid I received his message: They have found the watch and they have it in custody.” When I return to Kaunas I have to go and claim it and they will return it to me. And so I did. They made some checks and passed it on to me.
I want to thank Pedro because from the very beginning I prayed the prayer to him, which I did several times during those days. Discussing this favour with other people I have been told that it is not a small one, although it may seem so.
