A couple of years ago our youngest child had croups and he was in the hospital for two weeks. A couple of months ago (our child is now almost 3 years old) got croups again. While looking for the keys of our car in the kitchen to rush to the hospital, I saw the prayer card for private devotion to Pedro Ballester that we have on the door of the fridge. I stopped in front of it and prayed. I then said " Pedro, I know that you know how hard it is to be in hospital, more so for a child of such a young age like our son. Please, I fervently ask you help to intercede so the croup doesn't become severe and our child can recover at home if he needs to take some medicine."
After we arrived at the hospital, while we were waiting for the diagnosis of the doctors (as they read the medical notes about our son, who two years ago previously stayed at the hospital) I prayed again for the intercession.
After a couple of hours of observation, the doctor came with the good news that the medicine that they provided to him was working and they didn't consider that another dose would be necessary . They gave us instructions on how to proceed with the care at home and discharged our son.
I know maybe this does not sound like a miracle, but we know our child’s propensity for this illness in his respiratory system, I felt so much peace when we arrived home that I went straying away to the kitchen to say a big thank you to Pedro Ballester and to our Lord God of course.
