I wish to record another favour granted via the intercession of Pedro. I have already received favours thanks to Pedro’s intercession with regard to the care of my elderly mother who suffers from Alzheimer’s.

Last Easter, we had decided to take my mother to Spain so she could spend time there with her daughter (my sister) and her grandchildren, plus see other relatives and friends in her home city. Because of her Alzheimer’s, she can get very anxious and confused with unusual events and situations, so a trip such as the one we were planning was potentially going to be very disruptive. I decided to ask Pedrito to “look after” the whole thing.

The day before we were due to fly to Spain was the day we told my mother about it and her reaction was the first favour from Pedro: contrary to all expectations, she remained calm and allowed me to pack her suitcase without any problem. She also slept well that night, which was another welcome surprise. The next day she let herself be prepared for the journey and was calm throughout all the hassle of the drive to the airport, security, check-in,waiting for the flight, boarding (with special assistance), the flight itself, etc.

I was amazed: this was so unlike her normal day-to-day when she gets anxious about things because they get muddled up in her head, and I could only ascribe it to Pedro’s intercession.

We landed in Spain and went again through security etc without problems. My mother was still quite calm and very happy to see my sister who came to collect us at the airport. At the end of that day my mother was certainly very tired, but she had been contented throughout. I was very grateful to Pedro and promised to record this favour, which I do now: Thank you, Pedro!
