I want to record a great favour that God has done us through Pedro's intercession. I have a great devotion to Pedro: sometimes it takes a lot of time, but this time it has had an immediate effect.
I have a brother with a mental illness, which has worsened over the years. At the beginning he was able to work, but at one point, about 5 years ago, he was fired from his job because of repeated absences. Since then, he has tried several jobs but has not been able to find stability. He found that he could not cope with intellectual or manual work and they ended up firing him again. This made him and the whole family suffer.
About a year ago, he decided, on the advice of his family, to apply for disability status. We went to a lawyer and started the paperwork. The lawyer's office explained the steps to us: the first was an application and then a subsequent interview with a doctor from the public health system, in order to study the case in court. They told us that in 95% of cases like ours, the initial application is rejected and it is necessary to go to court.
Seven months later he was summoned for the interview. At this point there was already a lot of tension in the family because of the financial issue, as he had not been receiving unemployment benefits for months. That day I prayed for Pedro’s intercession, using his prayer card, and both my brother and I went to the interview trusting in God's will: it would be the best thing for him.
Only two weeks later he received a letter confirming that he had been granted the maximum degree of disability, with all the financial and social advantages that this entails.
I am very grateful to Pedro because it was a difficult case, with great probability of having to go to court. It is clear to me that it was thanks to his intercession.
