My wife and I have two little children. We are a happy family. We love to spend time with them.

On Friday evening my wife’s clinic (she is a nurse) notified her that her schedule had to change -she was needed in the evenings. This would complicate our family time as she would have to come very late in the night, and not see our kids midweek.

That weekend I was doing my annual retreat when I saw Pedro’s card. I prayed to him to help us in this situation - the family was very important.

On Monday morning my wife received a call from a school director - they needed a nurse. She had to be there in 30 minutes for an interview. An hour later she had a new job with a fantastic schedule allowing her to be at home with us in the evenings.

That day, she had the opportunity to speak with her boss, to stand up for family life and the bringing up of children, giving witness to the importance of the family above any job opportunity. Her words moved that man deeply. Everything is now sorted.

My kids have their mum at home. She has a fantastic new job with a great schedule, and most importantly, she had the opportunity to defend Christian family values in front of her colleagues.
