A couple had recently moved to London. A friend of mine, Paul, managed to provide them with an unfurnished flat but they still needed a table and 4 chairs.

On Sunday, 10 July I went to an early Mass, but later I walked to the parish to see whether I was able to meet another friend after the 10 am Mass.The parish church is only few minutes away from my home, and while walking there I complained to Pedro that he didn’t seem to care for that couple and provide help. When I finished complaining I suddenly saw 4 very nice dining-room chairs on the pavement beneath a notice saying PLEASE TAKE. Most surprised, I asked the owner of the house, and she confirmed that the chairs were for the taking because they were making changes inside the house. I continued on my way to the parish church. I saw my friend who had been at Mass and was just leaving. I asked him whether he could deliver the four chairs in his big car. He collected them and delivered them to the couple, who were delighted.

At more or less the same time, Paul attended Sunday Mass in his own parish and was offered a table! We collected and delivered the table on Tuesday evening. And again, the couple were delighted.

They still need help, and I continue asking Pedro to help them.
